In the interest of developing a product that has faster assembly time then the 2x00 Classic series, we designed and introduced the 2x00 Economy housings. With the utilization of clip style fastening, the PCB outline for these housings has not only been simplified to a rectangle, but internal area has been increased by 30% without any external design changes. Choosing to use ABS also lowered the item cost while keeping an incredibly durable product. There are three stock versions of the 2x00 Economy housings:
2000 Series – Blank Termination2100 Series – DB9/DB15 Termination2200 Series – ‘B’ Style USB Termination
The 2000 series is designed to house wireless and standalone applications, as well as to allow the customer to machine their own termination requirements. All of the 2x00 series housings include heat stakes to secure the circuit board – Two circuit board elevations are possible. Please consult our technical documentation or contact us for more details.
